-They all seek to CONTROL the individual, i.e YOU. There may be outward differences, but they are all just another way of saying "AUTHORITY". Both Right-Wing and Left-Wing politics are concerned with control of people through the use of POWER. Under Governments or whatever party, people are secondary to the STATE ; they are seen mainly as the machinery of that state and they are expected to live and, if need be, to die for that state.
